Our delicious plum & blueberry gummies taste as good as your favourite childhood gummy bears!

This version has no added sugars or preservatives and is made with gut-healthy gelatin, antioxidant-rich blueberries, a dash of vanilla and a little extra sweetness from plum puree.

Opt for a good quality unflavoured gelatin (I use a 100% Pure Beef Gelatin purchased from iHerb) to ensure you get the maximum benefits that gelatin has to offer. In particular, gelatin is involved in promoting positive gut health, as well as being a great source of protein. Protein is a building block for every cell in the body and so it is of great benefit to the growing bones and bodies of children.

And while these plum & blueberry gummies will be a sure favourite for the youngest members of your house, the benefits are not limited to children. Gelatin is produced by cooking collagen, and as you may be aware from all the recent hype around it, collagen is responsible for keeping skin and hair looking youthful!

Silicon moulds can be purchased from most cooking stores or you can use a lined baking pan and then cut into squares after refrigerating.

250g Fresh or Frozen Blueberries

4 x 25g Nourishing Bubs Plum Puree Blocks

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp Gelatin

1/4 cup cold water + 2tbsp extra

  1. Place blueberries, Nourishing Bubs Puree Blocks, vanilla and 2 tbsp water in a small saucepan over medium heat with lid on. Allow to cook for 5-10 minutes or until well softened and thickened, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Using a hand blender or Bamix puree the blueberry mix until a smooth consistency.
  3. Combine gelatin with 1/4 cup cold water and stir well. Return blueberry mixture to the heat bringing to the boil. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin. Pour into moulds working quickly as mixture will thicken rapidly (a small dropper works best for small jelly moulds).
  4. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
