Our Top 5 Infant Feeding Accessories

Infant Feeding Accessories

At Nourishing Bubs our mission is to do just that, Nourish your Bubs, and while we have the food under control, the task would be next to impossible without the help of some great feeding accessories. Here we share our top five infant feeding accessories to make Nourishing your Bub a fun (albeit messy) experience!

1. Nuby 3D Silicone Bib

There is no doubt about it, meal time is a messy affair so any way to capture some of that mess is a bonus in our books! With its scoop bottom design to capture the food which doesn’t quite make it into your bubs’ mouth and the easy-to-clean flexible silicone, this bib is definitely one of our favourites.

2. Grabease Baby Cutlery

Is your bub Mr Independent? Refusing to be fed? Is it time to put the control (or the cutlery) in their hands? While it’s a terrifying thought (we know!), it has to be done eventually…and this awesome set of short-handled baby cutlery is just what you need for the transition. Grabease has been designed with your babies hand size in mind, nurturing their fine motor skills and earning it the tick of approval from occupational therapists!

3. Marmalade Lion Smocks and Splat Mats

Even with the best bib around, you can count on at least part of babies’ meal ending up on themselves and the floor. That is where these two awesome products from Marmalade Lion come in. With their gorgeous whimsical prints and durable, washable and wipeable fabrics, Marmalade Lion is the perfect example of function meets style when it comes to minimising mess. While they have a number of products, our fave has to be the long sleeve smock with the extra length protecting those oh too cute outfits from splatters of Beetroot. Put it on underneath the bib for an extra layer of mess protection. The splat mats are genius, simply place under the high chair or Bumbo, then once finished, lift up, shake into the sink and wipe/wash as necessary. It captures what the scoop bib misses and makes it easy (ier) to keep your floor clean – win win!

5. Emondo Kids Bamboo Dinnerware

The key to helping your child develop a positive relationship with food is to make eating a fun and enjoyable experience. Faced with the constant battle of mealtimes with her fussy daughter, Sharon, founder of Emondo kids, wanted to create child and parent friendly dinnerware, that promoted interaction and a sense of fun. Emondo Kids’ range of Bamboo dinnerware is so much more than a dinner plate though, shaped into native Australian animals, each plate is divided into segments. This not only appeals to fussy toddlers but lends itself to parents wanting to release their creative flare! We think they are all pretty cute but Lizzie the Frill Neck Lizard may just be our fave 🙂
